GOD'S WORD

We believe the sixty-six books of the Bible were written by men who were divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to mankind.  God is it's author and therefore it is perfect and without error and is the final authority for all of our life.  2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21

GOD

We believe there is one God who is creator of all that exists.  God is all powerful, all knowing and exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19-20; John 1:1-4; Acts 5:3-4; Hebrews 1:2-3

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus is the promised Messiah spoken of in the Old Testament.  He was born of a literal virgin birth, conceived through the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit.   He is fully God and fully man and lived a sinless life and sacrificially shed His blood and died on the cross in our place accomplishing redemption fora ll who place their faith in Him.  He arose visibly and bodily from the dead three days later and ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father.  He is the only Savior and Mediator between God and man, and is waiting for His return to earth.  John 1:1; John 14:8-9; Philippians 2:5-9; Colossians 1:15-20; 1 Timothy 3:16

SIN

We believe that God created mankind--male and female--in His own image, free of sin, to glorify Himself and have fellowship with Him.  Tempted by Satan, man freely chose to disobey God, bringing sin, death and condemnation to all mankind.  As a result, all human beings are totally incapable of coming back into a right relationship with God by their own effort.  Alienated from God without defense or excuse, and subject to God's righteous wrath, all of mankind is in desperate need of the Savior.  Genesis 3:1-6; Roman 3:10-19; Romans 1:18, 32

SALVATION

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins, fully satisfying God's righteous wrath, for each person that turns from sin in repentance and places their faith in Christ alone by grace alone.  At salvation each person is made a new creation by the Holy Spirit, declared righteous before God and secured as an adopted child of God forever.  John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 8:37-39; 2 Corinthians 5:21

THE CHURCH

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the Head.  The church is a community that exists for the purpose of declaring the Gospel and making Jesus known throughout the world.  Ephesians 1:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; 1 Peter 2:9

We believe the church is a family and that every believer should be identified with a local body of believers for the purpose of mutual encouragement, spiritual growth and accountability.  Ephesians 4:11-16; Colossians 3:12-27; Hebrews 10:24-25

THINGS TO COME

We believe in the future, physical, visible, personal and glorious return of Jesus Christ.  We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost.  The lost will be raised to life to spend eternal torment in hell along with Satan and his host of fallen angels.  The saved will be raised to life to spend eternal joy in the new heaven and new earth.  Revelation 20; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 21:1-8; Matthew 25:41
